To Be Like The Nations
1 Samuel 8-12
The people of Israel see a problem when Samuel is getting too old to judge them. Instead of recognizing that the LORD is the one who rules them, they declare they want “to be like the nations” and have a human king. The result of their cry will be finding a king who looks like a king should look, but lacks the heart of a righteous leader.
