To Judge Good and Evil (part two)

When David tries to cover up his sin, it is reminiscent of a man and woman in Eden trying to make outfits out of leaves and hiding in bushes. David is as ineffective at hiding his sin, but the difference is the amount of power he is able to use to exert in his failing efforts. The consequences of this moment are terrible for the household of David. In the midst of the evil, we also see a picture of what true repentance looks like. Today we will consider the sin, its consequences, and what it looks like to truly repent.
