Guard Yourselves From Idols

1 John ends with a command for believers to keep themselves from idols. For the audience John is writing to, this command brought with it a very clear picture of not falling away because of the teachings of the world and false teachers that were pulling at the church. We face the same challenges today, and there are many more voices seeking to pull us back into idolatry. This week we will look at how to identify idolatry and what we can do to guard ourselves against it.
