What to Expect on a Sunday

We're looking forward to having you join us!

FIRST TIME

Take advantage of our Visitor Parking near the Golf Road entrance where you will be warmly welcomed. Don't hesitate to ask the Greeters for directions or other questions you may have. During announcements, Friendship Folders will be passed down the rows and we would love for you to fill out a Connection Card. Don't forget to bring your Connection Card to the Welcome Desk following the service for a gift and a great place to ask questions about Cornerstone! You can also expect the following at Cornerstone!

People

We are a diverse group of people of different ages, ethnicities, and backgrounds. It is not uncommon to see people wearing everything from suits to sandals. People are friendly, so come early and stay late to meet some people. The atmosphere at Cornerstone is broadly evangelical. Many of our members come from various church backgrounds and many with no church background at all.

Children

We love seeing kids run around on Sunday mornings and wiggle as we sing and listen to God's word. During both services, children are more than welcome to join their parents in the sanctuary for worship. Our Nursery is available for infants-toddlers during both services. For four year olds and up we have classes for all ages during the 9:00am service (Click here for class specific information). At 10:30am, the four year olds - third graders all start with their families in the service and are dismissed during announcements (Don't forget to check-in your kids in the foyer before the service starts).

Music

The music we sing at Cornerstone exalts Jesus and strengthens our faith in Him. We love the doctrinally rich hymns of the past, as well as the substantive songs of the present. Overall, we seek to worship by Spirit and truth (John 4:24), rather than particular style. We prefer congregational singing, which emphasizes the gathered body singing praise to God with one voice. While you may hear a broad range of instruments from violin, brass instruments, piano, electric guitars and drums the purpose of all these instruments is to undergird and strengthen congregational singing.

Sermons

The preaching at Cornerstone is expository; This means biblically based and flowing out from the text. The rich meaning of the Scripture is unpacked in a way that strengthens our walk with Jesus everyday of the upcoming week.

Fellowship

Between our morning services enjoy meeting new friends over coffee and refreshments in the gym. After the 10:30 service, you'll have this opportunity in the foyer and hospitality room, but feel free to head to the gym to sit down for longer conversations or let the kids run and play.
