Pray for our Church

Summers can be filled with so much activity that our prayer life can shrivel. Paul in writing to various churches highlights some ways to reinvigorate your prayer life by praying for the church from Ephesians 1:15-23. This is an interactive blog. Fill in the banks with people from Cornerstone. My hope is that you will enlarge your prayer life by making a difference in the lives of people around you. Maybe even make it five different people for each blank.

I am so thankful to be a part of this church because I praise God for you.

I am praising God for ___________ here at Cornerstone!

For wisdom to grow in your relationship with God.
While making mention of you in my prayers; 17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him,

For the clarity that hope brings as God’s very own.
18 I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called—his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance.

I am praying for ___________ here at Cornerstone!
To experience the full measure of God’s power
19 and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe. These are in accordance with the working of the strength of His might 20 which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, 21 far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come.

Us together as His church—Finished by Christ
22 And He put all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as head over all things to the church, 23 which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.

To pray for the church is “to remember who owns the house”. Walter Wink
